Our SeaCret is an easy to assemble yacht model at exceptional value. The manual is easy to read and the ambitious sailor can put this boat together within a couple of days. Anyone who's done this kind of thing before might even be a little quicker. The design is reminiscent to the America's Cup yachts in 2000.
The Seacret has been tried and tuned by us and features well balanced sailing characeristics. The perfect boat for those only just venturing out into the realm of model yachting. The boat is somewhat underpowered, but nevertheless a joy to sail. The servos are easily accessed via the hatch in the deck. Unlike the hatches of other models we sell, the one of the SeaCret is not watertight. This boat needs to be pumped out ocassionally, but fortunately the whole servo set up has been constructed in a way that it won't be doused in water. So, if you're into storm sailing with lots of swell, then this basic edition is definitely not for you. The rig is well built, but won't withstand major pressure. The main sail's a wee bit short for the length of the mast.
We have rigged this boat, eliminated its teething problems and not only devised our own set of sails, but also replaced the conventional aluminium mast by one made of carbon. You'll find further tuning information here.
