More powerful as the "big ones"

Models are reacting different as reals yachts. If you just size down a plan of a real boat, you will be disappointed from it´s sailing qualities. The reason is the kinematic viskosity of air and water. In towing basins, scientists are trying to get realistic data by using warmed water and calculations e.g. on basis of the similarity rules of Froude. To say it with easy words: the water is for a small model like sailing in honey.
We have a lot of experiences with yachts. This is our basis for the development of modelboats, which have the same characteristics as the big ones. Our focus is not to build 100% realistic looking boats. Our passion is to give the models the sailing characteristics and functions of the real examples of them. The models we build should fascinate the people like the "big ones" and the owners should have fun with a very good working model.
